As of June 1st, 2022, Dr. Anderson will be an out of network provider with all PPO plans. She will be out of network for Blue Shield in mid July. She will be no longer contracted with HMO plans. She has simplified her practice to continue to provide the personal, individualized care that her long term patients have come to expect, accompanied by her wonderful staff. That means if you have out of network benefits on your PPO plans, then part of your fees may be covered. Payment at the time of service will be expected. We are happy to bill your insurance carrier as a courtesy and assist with the paperwork. We also provide financial assistance through CARE CREDIT which provides interest fee loans that can be paid over time.
As of July 1st 2022, Dr. Anderson will also not be participating in Medicare or accepting supplemental insurance plans since Medicare does not allow billing the secondary insurance if she does not participate in Medicare as the primary.
Workers’ Compensation/Industrial Injuries
An authorization from your Worker’s Compensation carrier is needed before seeing you in the office. If you have been hurt on the job, be sure your employer has been notified and you have received permission to be seen in our office. If your treatment is denied as being non work-related, you are financially responsible for all charges incurred.
Third-Party Claims
If you are involved in a third party litigation situation, or have been involved in an automobile accident and there will be litigation, payment in full is expected at the time of your visit. We cannot bill for your care since these claims often take many months or years to resolve. The only exception is if the insurance company gives us a guarantee of payment (MedPay). If this situation applies to you, please contact our office in advance of your appointment.
